(2013) open rp post

permanent open rp post
new year, new post.
❧ select one of my characters (or one that you know I play but isn't on the list)
❧ leave a prompt: pictures work best; lyrics, scenarios of your own creation, etc.
❧ reply as many times as you want.
❧ the apocalypse finally happens.
❧ please note that I am extremely backtag friendly and will be backtagging these threads until the cows come home. and I'm always really eager to do things even if this post is found months after it's posted. also lol sometimes i may take a bit to get to them since some characters are harder for me to think up things and require some canon review! sorry for the wait, i'll make you a vegemite sandwich in the interim.

will take anyone, but specifically the "new boss."
♥ slight au for s9, apologies if this doesn't make sense/have correct facts
[ the thing is, abaddon doesn't like the taste of truces. it means defeat, that she is not an abominable force. knights do not lay down their swords for a few simple words said between enemies. she does not trust truces. she has stabbed the winchesters in the back previously, and while they had their revenge with a case of cement, abaddon knows hunters are stubborn and grudgey beings. she does not want to walk into a trap, but she understands it's not a trap with the information he lets her have through their third party — the brother, whom she had seen such a display of affection for previously, is tiptoeing the line between earth and hell. and perhaps the true ruler of hell can help him. ]
[ sam winchester is on the brink of death. castiel has been clipped of his wings. and all of heaven is in uproar. there is no one left to help him; all their bridges are burned, all of their guardians are dead. abaddon knows her position on the chessboard, and she knows that dean winchester is very aware of it, too. a pawn cannot help another in their time of need. it's the queen, and the knight, that can. a make believe king cannot help — not when his playing is sloppy, filled with grudge tactics, and poorly articulated bloodshed. crowley's craftsmanship needs much work. ]
[ the bar is dark and quiet. it reminds her of the warehouse they had awoken her in, putting her back together as if she were humpty dumpty. this building has been abandoned, used to simply house those humans who have nowhere to go and no one to support. but he has a bottle of liquor in front of him at the table he sits on — or slouches. dean winchester's posture reminds her of one who is defeated. the men of the 1950s didn't wear their white flag so heavily, with a hunched back and a scowl on their faces. her heels click, echoing within the space. she's composed (literally, no stitching on her neck, no blood dripping from her face) while he's falling apart at the seams. ]
Hello, boys. [ she glances around, a tiny smirk on her red lips. ] My mistake. We seem to be down one.
made perfect sense!
[His words are edged with sarcasm and a kind of weariness that isn't normal for him. Sam was sitting somewhere in a goddamn hospital wasting away and he didn't come to this decision lightly. He'd worked with a few demons, almost every one of 'em had double-crossed him. He didn't know why she'd be any different but he had to try.
Before he says anything else Dean takes a pull from his glass. He doesn't have it in him to discuss these things if he isn't marinated.]
I'm surprised you even showed up.
excellent! ❤
[ the difference between abaddon and all those other demons is that a knight abided by certain rules of knightship. if it worked in her favour, she'll assist; if it didn't, that's when she shared a trait with all the other low-life forms. a knight never let a damsel stay in distress, after all. especially if she could gain a throne from it. ]
I'm surprised by the nature of your call. [ no telephone call, no telegram. men these days. she watches him unblinkingly. ] You only sacrifice when it suits you.
[ he'll sacrifice his grandfather over his brother. he'll sacrifice the entire world for that moose. abaddon's a quick learner; while she's not what one would call a fangirl of the winchesters, she's beginning to learn their habits along the course of their interactions. dean winchester will sacrifice innocent lives if it means the most significant one to him stays in one piece. ]
[ she does wonder if he had thought she would've spared the man he had communicated his meeting place and terms to. did he think her so soft, like his salesman? ]

[Besides, Crowley was in his trunk fuming right now 'cause he knew where he was and that Abaddon was here with him. It's not the first time he's made deal with a demon, and Sammy's in pretty bad shape. With Sam on the brain it's easier to ignore the fact that he knows the barkeep's dead. He white knuckles his glass, wetting his lips with it again just to fill the silence.]

And how do I know this won't end up with me in a cement tomb once again? [ her eyes are hard on him, her mouth slightly curved upwards at the corners. but it's quite clear that abaddon isn't as amused a she usually is during her conversations with dean winchester. ] I quite like this head.

[As long as you aren't a threat. No promise Dean's ever made to a demon has stood for what it was. He knew how powerful she could be, and he also knew that Sam and Cas would be pissed if they knew he was even trying this.]
I'll let you do whatever it is you've got planned. No questions asked.

[ but correct her if she's wrong, deano. abaddon doesn't speak family. ]

[This whole thing was screwed up, something he'd probably never live down. Crowley had his own mojo but he was so jacked up from the trial that Dean didn't even bother. He just kept him in the trunk.]

I'll give you closure. If you give me one thing.
[ the one thing about the men of today was that they were smarter than those of the 1950s. hopefully dean doesn't need it spelled out for him. she wants what's in his trunk — and she's not talking about his literally. ]

[Dean already knows but he's baiting the hook. As much as he'd feel bad turning over Crowley, this was Sam on the line. Sam always overthrew decisions based on conscience.]

Let me make checkmate. You're the piece standing in my way of capturing the king. [ and the word twists in her mouth, making the word and its status drop to that of a plebeian or pawn. crowley as king? it makes her laugh in the most mirthless of ways. abaddon demonstrates a lot of strength to simply not follow the statement with a roll of her eyes. ]
[ and if he doesn't do as she asks, she'll simply take him down with said "king" — his brother, the pawn, first. then his bishop. ]
no subject
You got it. You can take him but first meet my end of the requirement.
[Being with Sam in a world overrun with demons was a lot better than being without while heaven and hell duked it out.]

[ there's no doubt that they won't come after her. she's the big bad, after all. she wants to rip earth a new one while burning each and every last living thing on it alive. but she'll do as dean asks, as it gives her the salesman, and, after all, she may see that showing a little softer side might win herself some favours from these boys. ]
no subject
[He'd do anything to keep Sam safe, including making a deal with someone that might as well be the devil. Since she was hell bent on watching the world burn.]
