[ katherine smirks as benny approaches. he's strong, for a vampire; she's used to stefan's wobbly feet, of how he sways to and fro from drinking from the vein and from a blood bag. benny's a different sort of challenge, one where he'd said all living things were off limits. breaking him was a challenge katherine very much enjoyed accepting. on his knees in surrender; benny's walls have come tumbling down, and she couldn't enjoy it anymore. ]

[ there's something satisfying in breaking a man's tough resolve — but a part of katherine wishes he had fought harder. the fight is more fun than the chase. but she has a feeling that benny will be back for another round of fighting his inner urges, and she'll be there to coax it out of him. ]

[ her grip on the man disappears as she practically drops him to benny, no longer supporting him, no longer teasing him with the offer of food and drawing it away with his approach. ] Drink up, Benny. Something tells me you're not going to enjoy this in the morning.
