so, i'm sort of losing my voices for some of these guys, and i'd like to get them back! basically just picture prompt or write up a scenario for me and we can do this.
these are characters i'd just like to rp -- they're probably half the active ones and half the ones i wish were active! hover for who they are. there are alternate versions available -- and you can ask for someone not on this list if you really hate me! c:
[ it's the second year around for halloween and bellamy still doesn't understand it. there's something about dressing up and being someone who isn't yourself that's strange to him. he's always been himself, from the moment o had been born to the very second he had arrived in eudio. being someone else, even lovejoy, had been impossible — bellamy blake had always slipped in through the cracks, as he doubts someone like lovejoy would've cared much for a girl like maya. ]
[ but he dresses up, anyway, as a roman emperor again. he doesn't want to be a cop, finding it's too close to the mount weather guard and that of the ark, and he doesn't want to be a hero since nike's dressed up with cat ears. it's o's idea, to dress her as though she's a cat, even though bellamy's a little concerned she'll become one of those dogs who believes she's not a dog at all from the experience. it's traumatising, apparently, but what does he know? ]
[ it's when nike, off her leash and fully grown, begins to bark and chase after another dog that he finds himself living one of those moments from the movie about dalmatians. he knows that some new civilians will have been recruited into the city, but he supposes he had expected them to come dressed up — or earlier. but once nike seems to approach the dog, one that's too familiar for bellamy to forget, he tells her to stand down, watching as she no longer approaches with a predatory step but with a genuine curiosity to the wag of her tail. he doesn't look at her at first, dropping to his knees and disregarding the toga that he's wearing to scratch an old friend behind the ears. ] Did you take her for a really long walk? [ he smiles as he looks down at his friend — diana. nike finds herself jealous, nudging his arm, but he reaches out to blindly pat her while he keeps his eyes on diana — and the legs of her owner. ]
[ it isn't diana he addresses, even if he keeps looking at her. he doesn't smile, as he doesn't find any mirth in the reminder of her absence. but his voice isn't unkind, if just slightly more quiet. ] You've been gone for a really long time.
( roxy isn't dressed up. it hadn't been halloween when the representative had approached her again, and it had been just after a mission, so she's in a long evening gown. at least it's in greek style, so it looks a little like a costume, just a very expensive one. there's a gun strapped to her thigh, too, underneath the dress, but it's well-hidden. the bruise (still bleeding sluggishly) across her left cheekbone is far less hidden, unfortunately.
she doesn't expect to run into terribly many people she knows -- it's been a while, after all, hasn't it? and this place was never meant to be more than temporary. and yet, when a golden retriever comes barking toward her, or rather toward diana, roxy can't help but hope.
she was right, too. he's dressed as a roman emperor; roxy can't help but smile at that. ) Augustus, or one of the lesser known ones?
( it isn't an answer, but it's still the first thing that she says to him. )
[ it's always awkward acknowledging there's been a gap of time — he knows it better than anyone, having missed a year of octavia's life when she'd been in the skybox. though he knows it to be his own fault, regardless of what she may say if she's ever privy to it, seeing her again on the drop ship had been like being barrelled over by the minotaur. with roxy, it isn't the same — nothing will be, not when it comes to octavia — but it still feels like acknowledging the time she's been gone is a sore spot. she'd been one of his first friends in eudio, the first friend he had lost, and the first person to try and give him a semblance of normalcy in the shape of the large golden retriever sniffing the back of diana's head. ]
[ he doesn't push nike away when he cards his fingers through the fur on her shoulder. her nose is wet against his hand, a brief touch, before she's back to sniffing diana, as if wanting to memorise her scent or to catch a faint one of whether or not she's a dog to be worried for. his hand remains in diana's fur as he looks down at himself. ] Going for Adonis. [ he shrugs a bare shoulder. with one last, hard scratch behind diana's ear, he stands. ] Guess I could be anyone. [ the laurel wreath had been lost within seconds of him even entering the party. to bellamy, he's just a guy dressed in a curtain. ]
[ looking her over, he realises she hasn't changed — aside from the bruise on her left cheek. eudio hasn't changed bellamy much, aside from seeing him relax a little more, less restrained and suspicious — and it's why he lifts his hand to brush his fingers gently against the slope of her cheek with a slight furrow to his brows. his voice is much lower, ] Don't remember this.
( it is only awkward if they let it be, and roxy has more than enough social skill and grace not to make it awkward -- both by virtue of her upbringing and by virtue of her training as a kingsman agent both. still: bellamy is a friend and roxy isn't going to try and manipulate a friend. (she never knows in how far using her training in particular counts as manipulation. some of it is quite blatantly nothing else, but some forms of it are more subtle -- usually the ones that she learned at home, rather than during her training.)
she lifts her shoulders in a shrug, not entirely subconsciously mirroring him. ) I think it suits you. ( he's always had nice shoulders. seeing one of them bare like this also answers her question of whether he has freckles on his shoulders, too.
she asked that a long time ago, it seems. they've both changed since then, if in subtle ways, and she's reminded of that when he lifts his hand to brush his fingers against her cheek. roxy doesn't think he would have done that before. )
Professional hazard, I'm afraid. ( but while the words are a brush-off, the way she tips her head into his touch very much isn't. )
[ bellamy doesn't believe he's changed much, if only calmed down slightly. he's still wound up each and every meet and greet, wondering when the next grounder or mountain man will appear. sometimes he acknowledges the longer the time passes without one popping in for a free meal, the less likely cage or lexa will be approached — but sometimes he finds himself disappointed, waiting for lincoln to reappear, for echo, for maya. he isn't disappointed now, even though he does wonder if she'll leave again. ]
[ their moments in eudio had been brief, but bellamy still remembers roxy. it's difficult to, given she'd handed him a chance at being normal, at being someone who belonged on the ground instead of being misplaced in this city, when she'd handed over a puppy he hadn't known what to do with. he still doesn't, but he thinks nike's okay — she lies down, chin on her arms, as she regards nothing in particular with her sharp gaze. ]
[ bellamy lets his hand drop, a part of him realising what he's done and another portion of him knowing he really shouldn't. his brows furrow for a moment as he regards her cheek, ] I didn't realise being a museum tour guide was dangerous.
Please. ( there's a hint of laughter in roxy's voice, something amused and warmly teasing in the face of his worry and the frown he wears. her cheek will heal. ) I don't offer museum tours to just anybody.
( so really, her job is hardly museum tour guide. of course, they never really talked about the things they do at home, about what their worlds are like -- not to a great degree, and roxy certainly never told him that she's a kingsman agent. she doesn't offer that piece of information to anyone; if asked, she'll just say that she's in the army.
she was, before kingsman, so it's only half a lie.
she regards bellamy for a moment, silent, then drops her gaze to nike. ) She's looking good.
Yeah? [ he smiles, looking down at nike. she's fully grown, with a soft coat she often leaves behind her in her shedding. from the puppy she'd left him to look after to a fully grown dog, sometimes bellamy thinks nike has taught him a hell of a lot more than he's taught her. ]
[ sometimes he wonders if that had been roxy's intention, giving the kid from space a dog to occupy his time, teach him how to live a life that wasn't so ruled by war and culling. she hadn't known that, of course, but bellamy sometimes wonders how he had come off back when he had first come to eudio. ]
She does have all four feet. [ and he looks at his dog to make sure she does, catching her eye as she looks at him. as if catching his eye is an invitation in itself, nike comes over to him and nudges his leg before she sits on his foot. ]
[ after nike makes herself comfortable on one of his feet, bellamy looks up at roxy. with a quirk of his lips, ] You know, the museum's changed a lot since you were last here.

apparently we are doing an eudio au full of DOGS.
