[ Castiel wouldn't stand in her way to destroy Crowley. He had no real use to Cas. There was a chance that Dean would be upset with him if his information was cut off, but he'd be able to move past it. Castiel wasn't too keen on upsetting his friend, but things are working with a delicate balance right now. He's human and he's got a million targets painted on his back. No amount of running and hiding with Dean will help him. They'll find a way to locate him. They always find a way. They're built to be resourceful and to not give up. They blame him for their current situation and revenge is a word that angels know very well. Castiel needs her help if he's going to survive at all. She's his last hope and he's desperate enough to overlook a few things.

When she moves away he feels better. He feels more balanced. He steps back to sit on the bed and places his hands at his sides. They grip the edge of the mattress and he focuses on her back. He doesn't want to look away from her right now. It's a sign of weakness. He may be weak right now, but he doesn't want to slap her in the face with this information. Though she already probably believes this without a single doubt. He'd rather not cement that fact to her. He'll keep his head up and his eyes on her. ]

Whether he's alive or dead is not something I'm aware of. If he is alive then Dean will most likely make sure he stays that way. [ His shoulders feel heavy. His whole body feels different.
