It's a good thing the Doctor is used to this loud alarm noise. It happens every time he presses a button. He isn't even alarmed by how a button he presses now seems to not do anything at all.
"My hair isn't floppy," he frowns at her with a glare. "And bowties are cool. Red hair is …" He pokes his tongue out, as if he's tasted something quite horrid on his tongue. He continues to smack his lips until the TARDIS makes another sound. It's different, high-pitched, and sounds like a song to his ears.
"Where do you want to go, Old Girl?" he pets the TARDIS console affectionately. "Mm, yes, lets avoid the pirates for now. I still haven't been able to find that hook. Oh, Amy!" he bounds over towards her, then wraps his hand around a pole and swings away from her. Down the stairs he goes. "Have you looked at the stars tonight? Very bright and starry. Impossible to miss if you've got eyes."
