Tim wasn't at the Alamo to study. Tim was there to try and con Matt into giving him a burger. Things were on the off again with Lyla. She'd been pushing him to go to college and Tim was pretty damn sure he was one of those people that just wasn't cut out for college.

He was standing behind Elena, who he'd heard about, even talked to once in a passing sort of way. He'd certainly checked her out and right now seemed the sort of time to start a deeper sort of relationship with her. Or at least say something other than 'new girl' in a way that he'd meant to sound flirty as opposed to creepy.
